The kids were amazing!

Last Sunday our Children’s Musical featured lots of our own kids and some of those who have come to PDO and Preschool, as well as, others who just wanted to be a part of it. They did an amazing job singing, dancing and telling the biblical story of
Joseph.

The best part was that the kids were obviously having fun, which made everyone in the congregation have fun. Of course it takes a lot of work to make things look easy. Thanks to all of the per-formers, the youth and adults who helped make sets and direct the kids and especially, Dale Bolyard, our Director of Music, who has an amazing ability to help kids worship and help kids lead oth-ers in worship.

This is another big Sunday as we go to our new schedule. Wor-ship will be at 9:30 am and 11:00 am. The 9:30 service will be led by the Praise Team and will involve people of all ages in the first 20 minutes until 9:50 when Faith Formation Sunday School begins for all ages. The 9:30 service will continue with more singing and the sermon until 10:30, and then adults will have a few minutes before Sunday School is over at 10:50. A more traditional service will begin at 11:00.

I am excited and anxious about the changes.

There is a good energy in the church, and I look forward to its expression in the two new services and Faith Formation Sunday School. Thanks to all who have worked hard to make the changes and make them work. Thanks for the willingness of the congregation to be patient as we continue to evolve and change. Thanks to all who are helping to invite others to join us on the way and to come and know the Good News of God’s love through Pine Ridge!
